There are a wide variety of problems that cause pain in the knees. Only the most severe cases require surgery and most of these pains can be treated conservatively very effectively.

Usually people don’t know that most knee pain that just "develops," is a result of improper biomechanics of the foot, lower leg and pelvis.
Problems in the feet will affect the rest of the structure of the body. Improper biomechanics of the feet can lead to feet pain (plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, bunions etc…) and the knee is often the first place pain will develop afterwards before moving to the hips, pelvis and spine.
Long-term relief of feet and knee pain can only be achieved by addressing the underlying cause of the problem.
Pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs often give only temporary relief, and cause other health problems. The success of our treatment to treat chronic feet and/or knee pain has six components:

Pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs often give only temporary relief, and cause other health problems. The success of our treatment to treat chronic feet and/or knee pain has six components:
1) Chiropractic manipulation of the spine, pelvic, knee and foot to correct imbalances in motion.
2) Physiotherapy modalities to speed up the healing process of soft tissue injuries.
3) If needed, foot orthotics to correct foot biomechanics, taking the strain off of the feet and knee joints.
4) Supplementation with Glucosamine Sulphate, Chondroitin Sulphate, MSM, and other minerals and vitamins to help repair damaged cartilage and other soft tissue.
5) Corrective exercise to stabilize the improvements in the different joint structures.
6) Advice on lifestyle to decrease stress on the joints involved (for example wearing the wrong type of footwear can create long lasting problems…)
